***This is an 'In House' self-employed position (A company vehicle will be supplied and maintained, but you will be responsible for supply and purchase of all your own materials, and fuel costs)***

The Able Group are at the forefront of providing planned and reactive maintenance services for homes and businesses nationwide. We specialise in a range of services including glazing, locksmiths, plumbing, gas and heating, pest control, electrics, and drainage.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year - and we are currently looking to increase our glazing coverage, in Leicester/Peterborough.

As an 'In House' contractor with The Able Group, you will be the number one option for all jobs booked in your designated geographical area. We will expect you to be available to take jobs across a standard working week (including weekends), as well as attending 'Out of Hours' call-outs on a regular basis.

You will receive a percentage split on all works carried out for The Able Group, which you will invoice us for at regular intervals. For 'In House' contractors, you will invoice us twice a month for works carried out during that period - and be paid for this around two weeks after each invoice date.

By working as a self-employed Glazier for The Able Group, you will receive regular work in your area, 24 hour support from our operations centre, and the security of contracting for a firm that has over 20 years' of successful trading in the planned and reactive maintenance sector.

Required Skills/Experience:

You will need to have your own trusted supplier network available to you (We will ask for evidence of this - to ensure that you are capable of providing all the necessary materials to complete jobs, and have acceptable payment terms set up with them)

As this is a self-employed position, we will also need to ensure that you are financially solvent; and will be capable of covering the costs of fuelling your vehicle, and purchasing materials for at least the first 4-6 weeks of contracting for us.


- 5+ years' industry experience in your specific trade.

- Valid public liability insurance (to a minimum cover level of £5million).

- Hold a valid health & safety qualification, as well as evidence of working at heights training (due to the nature of works carried out)

- Be able to evidence any industry standard/governing body qualifications or trade memberships that are relevant to your trade.
